Colorado Mountain College Disc Golf Course – Glenwood Springs
This course is located between Aspen, Colorado and Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Situated high on the hill above the valley the Colorado Mountain College has a beautiful campus with many acres dedicated to an excellent Disc Golf course. It may not be the most challenging course, however the natural setting, views and unique holes make it a course that is worth the travel.
Photos below were taken as the last stop on a crazy few days camping, hiking, moose-watching, and rock-climbing around Aspen, Colorado. On the way back to Denver we stopped at the Colorado Mountain College Disc Golf Course at the Glenwood Campus and started playing right as the evening began.
Hole #7 (below):
Details:
- 1st time with 2 ppl took 2 hours and we were moving quick racing against sunset.
- Denver to Disc Golf Course is 3 Hours taking I-70 to HWY 82. To continue on to Aspen is another 45 mins.
- Glenwood Springs at the I-70 interchange to the course is less then 15 mins so it is a great detour on any cross-country trips.
- Lots of other disc golf courses in the area that I hope to explore.

Hole #2: The Crater
The “Crater” is a really cool hole that takes you by surprise as you approach the teebox. Thick brush on the hillside where you are most likely to land!
Hole #16:
Only thing to watch for is that on the open fields the brush makes it hard to find discs. Make sure to mark your spot well as it can be time consuming looking for your disc.
Hole #8:
Mt. Sopris as we got back to the parking lot after playing late into the evening (photo 9:00pm):
The long days around the summer solstice are perfect times to explore the mountains of Colorado.
